Coach Nicki Collen got her first win of the seaon. The Atlanta Dream beat the Chicago Sky.

The Atlanta Dream travelled to Chicago to take on the Sky, looking for their first win of the season. The Sky had played two games, winning both. The Dream had only played the Dallas Wings on WNBA all day, losing that battle.

The Dream defence was locked in, they held the Sky to just 25-of-68 shooting from the field. they also held the Sky to 3-of-14 from deep. On the other hand the Dream shot 33-of-71 from the field and 6-of-18 from deep. They even kept Allie Quigley quiet with only 13 points.

Most telling of all, the Dream out-rebounded the Sky 41-28 including 12 offensive rebounds to eight.

It was the old firm of Tiffany Hayes and Brittney Sykes who took the game away from the opposition. Hayes scored a game high 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting. However, it was her 4-of-6 from deep which continually put daggers into any Sky runs.

Sykes was good off the bench. She scored 13 points in just 20 minutes, going 5-of-8 from the field. They were well backed up by Elizabeth Williams who scored 11 points (4-of-5) and Angel McCoughtry who scored 10 points (5-of-10).

Jessica Breland may have only scored four points but she collected a game high ten rebounds. She also had three steals and blocked three shots, altering countless others.

This is the sort of game the Dream need to put together and build upon to get to the levels that many people covering the WNBA think they will get to this year. They have all the puzzle pieces, now they just have to put them together.
