The Chicago Sky have re-signed one of the best 3-point snipers in the game Allie Quigley.
In a case of keeping the band together, the Chicago Sky have managed to re-sign Allie Quigley after coring Courtney Vandersloot. Quigley, a Illinois local and recently got married to her back-court partner would have had almost no desire to play anywhere else.
Quigley is one of the best 3-point shooters in the entire WNBA and is a big reason the Sky can never be taken lightly. She has played for many franchises in the league before the Sky signed her and the match has been made in heaven.
The Sky have a number og up and coming players who are going to move the club forward but they are not ready to take over the franchise yet. Diamond DeShields, Gabby Williams and Alaina Coates are all works in progress. Quigley is most certainly the real deal.
Since the 2014 season, Quigley has not averaged less than 11.1 point per game. She is getting better with age, Quigley averaged 16.4 points per game in 2017, just shading her 2018 number of 15.4 points per game.
From deep Quigley has been incredible over the last two years as well. In 2017 the shooting guard went 43 percent from downtown. Last season there was a slight regression, going at 42 percent.
In fact, in the toughest league in the world, Quigley was so close to a 50/40/90 season in 2017. She was 50.5/43/89.3 which is insane. A lot of this is thanks to the service she is given by point guard Vandersloot but you still have to make the shots and make them Quigley does.
